Lawyers Club members named top attorneys in state, San Diego

It’s the season for lawyer lists, and Lawyers Club members are making their marks on the honor rolls of top attorneys in San Diego and statewide.
Three Lawyers Club members were recognized in May as being among the top 75 women litigators in California by the Los Angeles Daily Journal, while four Lawyers Club members made San Diego Super Lawyers magazine’s list of Top Ten Lawyers in San Diego in June.
Still more Lawyers Club members made the Super Lawyers list of Top 50 attorneys and Top 25 women attorneys in San Diego.
Dozens of Lawyers Club members also were named semi-finalists for the Top Attorneys list published by the San Diego Daily Transcript, which will announce the finalists in July.

Top 75 Women Litigators in California
Juanita Brooks, Virginia Nelson and Regina Petty scored spots on the list of the Top 75 Women Litigators in California.

Petty, a partner with Wilson Petty Kosmo & Turner, litigates employment, products liability and business matters and provides advice to public entities. She was named one of the top business litigation attorneys in San Diego by Super Lawyers in 2007. She also received the San Diego County Bar Association’s Diversity Award in 2005 and was named one of San Diego Magazine’s “50 People to Watch” in 2004.

Top 10 Lawyers in San Diego
The San Diego Super Lawyers Top 10 Lawyers list includes Nelson as well as Lawyers Club members Vincent Bartolotta, Jr., David Noonan and Claudette Wilson.

Wilson, a partner at Wilson Petty Kosmo & Turner, heads the firm’s employment litigation practice group. She was named one of San Diego’s top employment lawyers in 2005, 2006 and 2007 by the San Diego Daily Transcript, and she was named one of San Diego Super Lawyers’ Top 50 Lawyers and Top 25 Women Lawyers in 2007 and 2008.
She is a past president of the San Diego chapter of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers and is a Master in the Welsh Inn of Court. She also has previously served as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference and as a member of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Judicial Nomination Evaluation Commission.
